Kenneth Andrew Wallace, Sr. was born Saturday, July 22, 1972, to Professor John A.A. Wallace, Sr. and Mrs. Dorothy M. Wallace in St. Louis, Missouri. He was the seventh of eight children born to his parents' union.
At the age of four, he confessed his hope in Jesus Christ and was baptized at the New Tower Grove M.B. Church, which was pastored by the late Rev. Henry B. Smith, Jr. Also at an early age he showed a proficiency for music, following in his father, Professor Wallace's, footsteps. This skill would continue to flourish throughout his life.
During his youth, Kenneth served at New Tower Grove M.B. Church as Sunday School Musician. He also served as a musician for Willing Workers Christian Redeeming Spiritual Church and Morning Star M.B. Church. Kenneth served as the General Baptist State Convention choir director for the Youth of the National Baptist Convention of America, Inc.
Kenneth was licensed to preach by Pastor Smith and the New Tower Grove M.B. Church at the age of eighteen. He later united with and served as Minister of Music for the Shalom Church (City of Peace) for eleven years under the pastorate of Rev. Dr. F. J. Clark, Pastor and Founder, establishing a music ministry in excellence to God. While serving at Shalom Church, Kenneth was ordained, December 8, 1996.
On Saturday, August 23, 1997 Kenneth was united in holy matrimony to his devoted wife, Denise Perkins. To this union, one son, Kenneth, Jr. was born. Kenneth was also blessed to father daughter, Nicole.
July 31, 2004 Pastor Wallace was elected Pastor of New Tower Grove M.B. Church. He was installed November 7, 2004 and served until his passing on
April 2, 2020.
The Choir Without Walls, an outreach ministry for youth and young adults in St. Louis, MO was organized by the late, great Pastor Kenneth A. Wallace Sr. The young visionary was just sixteen years old when he organized the choir. The members and musicians were youth from more than five area churches that came together to form the choir. From its inception, Pastor Wallace, as the director, the choir members, and the musicians, firmly believed, "I can do all things through Christ, which strengthens me. " Phil. 4:13

Kenneth attended St. Louis Public Schools, graduating from Roosevelt High School in 1991. In his course of studies, Kenneth was awarded the Gold Medal from the N.A.A.C.P.'s ACT-SO Program Oratorical Competition for the essay, 'What the Seafarer Didn't Know.' After which he was accepted to and attended the University of Missouri-St. Louis Honor's College where he double majored in Philosophy and Music.
The scholarship honors, both, the memory of Kenneth and his dedication to education.
